Meditation

Our meditation practice starts with the body rather than only the mind. As you increase body balancing and awareness of the internal connections, your physical state of well being will calm down your mind.

As you move more naturally, your optimal body condition promotes increased awareness and sensitivity in deeper, more relaxed states. Meditation then goes from inside to the outside, helping to bring balance to one’s surroundings and reaching out farther with awareness. While all of our movements can be meditative, we start each class with very simple standing positions for maximum mental focus and clarity.

The Dao that can be told is not the eternal Dao.

The name that can be named is not the eternal name.

The nameless is the beginning of heaven and earth.

The named is the mother of ten thousand things.

Ever desire-less, one can see the mystery.

Every desiring, one can see the manifestations.

These two spring from the same source but differ in name; this appears as darkness.

Darkness within darkness.

The gate to all mystery.
